Opening Hours

Location

This legend and one of the oldest music clubs in Prague, Radost FX, comes to life at night with the twenty-three hour strike every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. In a refurbished space that includes a new stage, top-of-the-line Funktion One sound, new bars and toilets, you can enjoy the FX Bounce nightlife with a unique atmosphere on Thursday by DJ Kwé. On Friday, the club is dedicated to purely electronic dance music, especially house music in all its forms. On Saturday, the music of #SwerveFX returns to the club again.

Radost FX was one of the first new-area clubs to open in Prague after the 1989 Velvet Revolution and became one of the first venues to deliver music styles like house, techno and other electronic genres to a Czech audience with performances by starts such as Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, Lauren Garnier, Moby, Richard Dorftmeister, MJ Cole, Judge Jules, Danny Rampling, Eddie Richards, DJ Food and many others. Many of the Czech DJs who have found international success started out here.

All this happened almost by accident as Radost FX was originally conceived as a gallery for Czech photography, CD shop and restaurant. Thus a funky CS shop and fantastic vegetarian restaurant are part of Radost FX still today.

Despite its long history Radost FX has kept up with the times. In fact the interior design changes every single year. In a refurbished space that includes a new stage, a top-of-the-line Funktion One sound and new bars, Radost FX hosts:

  • FX Bounce hip hop and RnB night with DJ Kwé on Thursdays.
  • Fridays are dedicated purely to electronic dance music, especially house in all its forms.
  • On Saturdays, hip hop and urban beats return to the club again with SwerveFX.
